More Than Being Right: Flourishing in Love and Worship
We live in a world where everyone is an expert—three TikTok videos, and suddenly, you’re a guru. But knowledge without application isn’t convincing.
Imagine a nutrition professor teaching health while eating McDonald’s daily. Would you trust her? Probably not—because what we know only matters if it changes us.
It happens in church too.
•We listen to sermons but don’t change.
•We study theology but don’t grow in love.
•We memorize Scripture but don’t reflect Christ.
That’s what Paul addresses in 1 Corinthians 8—the Corinthians knew idols weren’t real, but their knowledge wasn’t making them more like Christ.
Paul asks:
✅ Does my knowledge make me prideful or loving?
✅ Does my love for God show I truly belong to Him?
✅ Does my worship reflect the one true God?
At its core, the gospel isn’t about information—it’s about transformation. Jesus calls us not just to know Him, but to love and follow Him.
So, what’s shaping your life—knowledge or love?
